Crochet Winter Worsted

Close up of mine. I’m using our Winter Worsted in the colorway Close To Me. This will actually be a series of 4 different throw blankets, one for each season. They are all going to use a half square triangle (HST) block similar to what is pictured above. There are infinite ways to arrange and make these fun squares (Like this wall hanging!). So I thought doing this crochet-along series would be the perfect way to showcase that. The Winter Waves throw is made up of 4 different wide quilt panels. Each panel will be separated by rows of textured stitches. I am keeping the final design a mystery until we are all done. Each week (starting next week) I will release the new square panel layout or row panel stitch pattern depending on where we are at in the CAL.

Since the shawl is knitted circularly, however, there is never any need to purl. The right side of the work always faces the knitter, making it easy to spot mistakes.

Crochet Easy Stitch

Last Christmas I had an idea to give crocheted gift baskets filled with some of my family’s favorite things. I tried a few crochet basket patterns and every single one turned out to look more like a bowl with rounded sides then a basket. Here’s a full list of crochet gift ideas.

After the holiday season, I was trying to organize the truckload of toys my kids accumulated. I needed new bins and crochet baskets with handles to corral the craziness. I revisited the basket patterns and figured out how to make sturdy baskets.

Why are some crochet baskets floppier than reheated pizza?

A lot has to do with the yarn type and hook size. The key to making a basket, instead of a bowl, is a sturdy base. You want the first round of the basket sides to be thick, tight, and stand up on their own.

Beads are pre-strung on the yarn and knitted into the faggot lace border at random intervals, and can be omitted if desired. Who’s ready for our new crochet along? We are changing things up a bit this year, we aren’t going to be doing a stitch sampler. What we are going to be doing is a quilt sampler!

Sweet Spring Tulip Bulb by Sweet Softies

The cuteness! Reblogging for your dash today.

If you want these flowers I’ve tried with a footrope, you can also make baby wool with ropes. It’ll look a little thinner. Since the thread is thick, the footpath provides a fuller look.
You can also make six slices if you want the flowers that I knit as five slices a little thicker.

And finally, I added sparkle to the belly of my flowers with the stones in my hand. Different objects such as stones, beads, buttons, glitter can also be used.

which I knitted for Babet’s booties. Of course, it wouldn’t be right to limit it to just booties. Baby hats, waistcoats, gloves that you can knit to add color to any kind of braids you may think of these flowers are very easy to make.
It can also be made as a single coat if you want. But it’s not flashy that way. On the contrary, even 3-4 layers can be knitted. It’s entirely up to choice. I prefer colors that match. The harmony of these colors made my eyes happy. I wanted to share it with you.

These flowers, which I finished in a very short time, are both time and rope-eating models. The booties themselves are a strenuous and rope-eating type of braid, so it is important that the decorations are made in less time and less rope-eating type. I would definitely recommend. I’m very fond of knitting.

You can decorate your motifs with beads, buttons, or stones. Color harmony and sparkles will look great.

Crochet Hedgehog Pattern

I do have a hedgehog pattern already but I’ve always wanted to revisit that pattern and try a slightly different style and I’m so glad I did. They are both so different from each other; they really are two completely different patterns for two completely different hedgehogs.

And, you may have noticed that I have also revisited another old-friend: the chain loop stitch. I used this technique for the Ragdoll Hagrid pattern last year and loved it so much that I’ve been looking for another project to use it in. Be sure to re-read some of the pattern stitch instructions to refresh your memory of how to work the stitch. The chain loop stitch used in this pattern is a slightly modified version than that used in the Ragdoll Hagrid pattern (it uses fewer chains) so be mindful of that
